How do Russians view America? It’s a love/hate relationship to be sure, and the current political climate emphasizes the souring views. America prides itself as a beacon, and in the last days of the Soviet Union, it was a beacon for many Russians. Over time, that view has changed – but not for all. This film explores the role America plays in Russia’s political life and the daily lives of Russians.
